Panettone French Toast

Thick-cut panettone soaked in a spiced custard and pan-fried to golden perfection. A festive, indulgent French toast that turns holiday bread into an extraordinary breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Panettone Cut into squares
  • 1 ½ cup Heavy Cream
  • ½ cup Whole Milk
  • 3 whole Eggs
  • ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ¾ cup Granulated Sugar
  • ¼ lb Butter Non Salted, Cubed
  • 1 pint Vermont Pure Maple Syrup

Instructions

  • Gather all the ingredients and begin with a clean and dry mixing bowl.

  • Add the heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon into the bowl.
  • Begin to slowly mix all ingredients with a hand blender or whisk.

  • Make sure the mixture is whisked or blended well. Everything needs to be fully incorporated.

  • Heat a non stick pan and add a teaspoon of butter.
  • Dip the Panettone bread into mixture give it a slight squeeze and place in your pan.
  • Repeat this step for every piece of Panettone.
  • Cook for about 5 minute on each side with medium heat.
  • If you want a slightly crispier french toast, feel free to cook for a little longer on each side.
  • Plate this with butter, maple syrup, strawberries, blueberries or any other topping of your choice.

Notes
